Preschool Speech-Language Drop-in Clinic

Drop-in to speak with a speech-language pathologists, receive a brief screening of your child's communication skills, and help for your child’s speech and language development.

Who? Parents who are concerned about their preschool-aged child’s speech sound development, language skills development, stuttering or voice problems, hearing and/or understanding language.

This clinic is for children who have not yet been referred to a speech language clinic. It is best suited to families who are not sure whether a referral is needed.

Prenatal breastfeeding classes offer expectant parents an opportunity to learn about breastfeeding basics and techniques. These classes are designed for first-time parents and parents who had difficulties breastfeeding in the past. They are taught by trained public health nurses. Expectant moms are welcome to bring a support person.

Falls Prevention Mobile Clinic

What: Free clinic that provides a personalized assessment session. Participants have the opportunity to sit one-on-one with health professionals for 25-minute sessions (pharmacist, kinesiologist and physiotherapist). 

At that time, various aspects of the senior's fall risk status will be assessed and interventions will be discussed. A detailed report of all of the recommendations is provided to the participant and sent his or her primary physician and any referring health professional, if applicable. 

The total time spent at the clinic is approximately 90 minutes.
