Cherington Place is a two-storey renovated historic home, located in a quiet neighbourhood in north Surrey.

Cherington Place provide 24-hour professional nursing services.

We serve a diverse group of residents and the staff speak a number of languages. Food services accommodates different ethnicities.

There are 75 publicly subsidized long term care beds consisting of 33 single occupancy and 21 double occupancy rooms. 


Room features and personalization Rooms include a bed, dresser and nightstand.  Linens are included.

Residents may bring pictures, television, telephone and radio as well as personal linens such as bedding, towels and facecloths.
Accessibility Wheelchair accessible and equipped with an elevator.
Security Keypadded doors.
Smoking Non-smoking facility.
Location information  Public transportation including bus and Skytrain are nearby.

Social and recreation programs  Music therapy; social clubs; birthday parties and holiday parties; exercise and outings.

Activities include art therapy, bingo, bowling, Wii games and baking.
Spiritual program Pastoral care programs are available.

One-on-one visits from pastoral care.
Pets Pet visitation permitted - vaccines must be up-to-date.

Pet therapy dog visits twice a week.
Medical assistance in dying Questions are referred to the medical director. There is no on-site provision.

Hairdressing  Weekly hairdressing services provided for a fee.
Foot and nail care Foot care nurses provide services for a fee.

Clients must meet Home and Community Care requirements and criteria for admission. A health care needs assessment will be completed to confirm eligibility. See the eligibility requirements for home and community care section of our website.


Referral by case manager at a Home and Community Care office is required. To access service call the Home Health Service Line for more information; do not contact the care home directly.


There is a monthly accommodation fee; additional fees may apply for incidental services.
