Dr. Calvin Tong is a heart failure cardiologist at Surrey Memorial Hospital. He has special interests in cardiomyopathies including cardiac amyloidosis, cardio-oncology and heart function optimization.
Dr. Calvin Tong is an advanced heart failure-trained cardiologist. He currently serves as the co-director of the Heart Failure Services at Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. He sees a wide variety of cardiac patients in his outpatient cardiology clinic, in the heart function clinic and in the hospital. He has particular interests in cardiomyopathies including cardiac amyloidosis, cardio-oncology, heart function optimization and health administration.
Dr. Tong completed his medical training, internal medicine residency and general cardiology residency at the University of British Columbia. He then underwent Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology fellowship training at Stanford University School of Medicine.
