Fraser Health Board member, Joanne Mills

Joanne Mills is the executive director of the Fraser Region Aboriginal Friendship Centre in Surrey, the vice president of the BC Association of Friendship, a sitting member of the Metro Vancouver Homelessness Partnering Strategy Community Advisory Board and co-founder/owner of First Health Solutions.

Joanne has been a leader in health and social serving agencies for 19 years with a passion for organizational transformation and change. She has served as a director in the Interior Health Authority supporting the integration of Indigenous health outcomes across the region; led a team of dedicated professionals in the development of the Provincial Health Services Authority Indigenous Cultural Competency Training Program and was a key contributor and curriculum developer of the Aboriginal Child Welfare Delegation model in British Columbia. Presently, she is the executive director of the Fraser Region Aboriginal Friendship Centre Association in Surrey, the vice president of the BC Association of Friendship Centres and co-founder/owner of First Health Solutions.
