Career snapshot

Her clinical career continued in Canada over two decades ago in acute care, palliative care, utilization management, and home and community care. As the director for Primary Home and Community Care, she led the Integrated Primary and Community Care strategy using lean methodologies to achieve equitable and timely access to care and services in the community setting.

Petra joined the Fraser Health team in May 2013 and has made significant inroads building partnerships and programs addressing attachment issues, supporting vulnerable populations, fostering timely access to care and services, and promoting quality health care delivery through an integrated system for health, in partnership with other Fraser Health programs and the 10 Divisions of Family Practices across the Fraser region. In addition, Petra facilitated the design and development of a community-based system for health vision and, with a patient-centred care lens, established a draft strategy supporting a chronic disease prevention and management system that empower citizens to better manage their health.
