The BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre offers two types of funding awards:

Planning Award for Patient-Oriented Research and Knowledge Translation

This award supports projects to plan and develop larger funding applications. This award is open to patients, researchers, health practitioners, or decision makers that work or live (patient) in the area Fraser Health serves, including satellite campuses such as Simon Fraser University (SFU) Harbour Centre.

The awards are for up to $10,000 each for one year. Applications for this year's competition are due November 15, 2018.

Fraser Centre Fellowships

The Patient-Oriented Research Graduate Training Fellowship supports individuals enrolled in a thesis-based Master’s or PhD program at Simon Fraser University to conduct a patient-oriented research project in the Fraser Region, and to receive training in patient-oriented research.

The Fellowship will provide a $10,000 (Master's) or $15,000 (PhD) stipend for one-year. The application deadline is November 12, 2018. Additional information and full eligibility criteria can be found in the guidelines and application form.

The Clinician Researcher Fellowship in Patient-Oriented Research provides opportunities for clinicians in Fraser Health to receive training in and undertake health-related research with a patient-oriented approach.

The Fellowship will provide a $20,000 stipend for one year and training in patient-oriented research. The application deadline is November 12, 2018. Additional information and full eligibility criteria can be found in the guidelines and application form.
