Welcome to the hospital
We are committed to providing the most appropriate health care to support your health goals during your hospital stay. Our Shared Commitments are the promises we make to you. They are the promises we ask you to make to us.
Know your care team
You and your essential care partners are important members of your care team. We will introduce ourselves to you, explain our role and what we are here to help with. If you are unsure who is giving you care, please ask us.
Be part of your care
You will see a bedside whiteboard in your room. We call it ‘My Hospital Stay.’ This board is a way for you, your essential care partners and health care staff to share important information about your care. Please let your care team know if you do not speak or understand English well. Fraser Health Language Services provides access to interpretation services (spoken and sign language) and coordination of translation services (written language).
Preparing to leave hospital
Early planning helps you and your care team prepare for a successful hospital stay. To prepare for after hospital, you can review your medical diagnosis, tests and appointments, medicines, help at home, personal items and recommended daily activities to support your health. For more information click here: My Plan For After Hospital.

Help us improve
After you receive care, consider filling out a Patient Experience Survey. The feedback you share is anonymous, stored in a secure location, and used for health care improvement. Please ask your care team how to complete a survey. If you have a concern about your care, talk with the person who provided the care or the unit manager. If your complaint is not addressed, we invite you to contact the Patient Care Quality Office.
