Fraser Health's Abbotsford Regional Hospital provides community hospital services to Abbotsford residents and regional services to about 330,000 residents of the eastern Fraser Valley. These services include 24/7 emergency, medicine, surgery, and medical imaging, including MRI, CT scanning, cardiac services, maternity care, as well as a neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric care and dialysis.
Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre is undergoing a $16.5 million renovation and redesign to its emergency department to provide patients, physicians and staff with a more modern space designed to better support their needs. The project will include a dedicated area for mental health and substance use care, a new nursing substation, and a relocated ambulance bay, among other features, which will help to improve patient flow and experience.
The upgrades to Abbotsford Regional Hospital are part of Fraser Health’s commitment across the region to modernize our health care network, build capacity and improve timely access to quality, patient-centred care closer to home.
