Emergency Department Expansion
Eagle Ridge Hospital is undergoing an emergency department expansion to meet the growing needs of the community and to improve access to care for patients.
The new emergency department will feature:

39 new single-patient treatment spaces up from 19, providing more privacy and space for patients, families and caregivers

Separate entrances for walk-in patients and ambulances, allowing for improved flow of patients

Two new resuscitation areas to increase care spaces for trauma patients

Four new isolation rooms to support improved infection control
-
Designated area for decontamination of hazardous materials to help prevent spread of contaminants
Additional hospital upgrades and enhancements
In addition to the emergency department expansion, additional upgrades are underway at Eagle Ridge Hospital to help improve access to care closer to home.
Renovated community outpatient services will allow for more timely access to follow up care. This area offers team-based care and services including rapid access clinics, intravenous therapy and wound care. This area features:

Seven private exam rooms

Six treatment bays

Fourteen recliner chair bays

Clinical space for wound and ostomy patients
New cardiology space, providing patients with specialized care
