Peace Arch Hospital

An expanded Emergency Department, new surgical suite and updated Medical Device Reprocessing department at Peace Arch Hospital are improving access to emergency and surgical services for the communities of White Rock and South Surrey.

Peace Arch Hospital

Completed at the beginning of 2022, the expanded Emergency Department more than doubled in size with the number of treatment spaces increasing to 50 from 24, and it now includes dedicated space for children and families.

A new surgical suite above the Emergency Department was also completed, featuring an additional two operating rooms. Additionally, the Medical Device Reprocessing department- where surgical tools are sterilized and prepared- was expanded and moved closer to the new surgical suite.

These upgrades improve overall efficiency by providing direct links between emergency, surgery and the sterilization of surgical tools.
