A long-time Fraser Health volunteer Jim McGrandles is recognized for the volunteer work he does for the Emergency Department at Eagle Ridge Hospital. Jim was a police officer at the ground breaking of Eagle Ridge Hospital. On retirement, he wanted to support the staff in the Emergency Department. Since 2000, Jim has been the Team Leader for Emergency Volunteer training, mentoring them to support the staff and patients.
Jim also volunteers for several organizations in the community, with the Canadian Blood Services, Life Line every Friday, as a Mason, and a member of Port Moody Rotary. But Jim’s fondly remembered as supporting the ERH wellness committee by dressing up as Easter Bunny and handing out chocolates. For his enthusiasm, dedication and sense of humour, Jim represents the best at living our values.
