Working to improve the health of the population and the quality of life of the people we serve.
Fraser Health is committed to its journey towards excellence (Better health, Best in health care). While there are opportunities for improvement, there is also cause for acknowledging our achievements. Fraser Health is justifiably proud of the quality of care it provides, which is assessed and validated though the Accreditation Canada process. How does accreditation work? Fraser Health participates in the three-year Accreditation Canada process as a means to embed quality improvement and patient safety into ongoing strategic planning and operations. Fraser Health teams conduct an internal self-assessment to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. Then expert national surveyors conduct an external assessment to validate the quality of care provided to patients, clients and residents. When are results posted? Because of its large size and complexity, Fraser Health participates in this process on a sequential basis, with some teams participating in each of the three years. In order to summarize the full Fraser Health three-year cycle, results will be posted on this site annually as Fraser Health teams complete their sequential accreditation cycles. |
