On April 23, 2010 Fraser Health officially opened its newest facility within this project – Cypress Lodge, a 20-bed mental health rehabilitation facility on Riverview Hospital grounds. The lodge features a warm home-like design and supports residents in learning or relearning basic living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, leisure planning, money management and vocational skills through supported education programs and job training initiatives.
Other services implemented to date include:
- 19 Specialized Geriatric Residential clients transferred to Delta View Habilitation Centre
- Fraser Health assumed responsibility from the Provincial Health Services Authority for Connolly Lodge, a 20-bed Adult Specialized Residential facility on the RVH grounds
- Adjacent to Connolly, Fraser Health built and opened Cottonwood Lodge, a 24-bed Adult Specialized Residential facility
- 52 Geriatric Behavioural Stabilization and Complex Care Neuropsychiatry beds were transferred to Delta View
- 25-bed Memorial Cottage, a Community Tertiary Rehabilitation facility opened in Langley in June 2009
