The Fraser Health Municipal Government Advisory Council is comprised of Mayors and/or their delegates from the 20 municipalities from Burnaby to Hope representing the over 1.5 million people living in our region. It is the only regional gathering of Mayors in BC in which there is an opportunity to exchange information with, and discuss issues of mutual interest with, a health authority.
This Council, Co-Chaired by Mayor Peter Fassbender, City of Langley and David Mitchell, Chairman of the Board of Fraser Health, meet on a quarterly basis with Dr. Nigel Murray, along with several members of the Board and representatives from the Executive Team of Fraser Health.
Primary objectives
- Preserve and enhance governance level relationships and communications between Fraser Health and local municipal governments.
- Explore, discuss and provide input on health and health-related policy issues of mutual interest.
