At the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre we will not only strive to offer excellent healthcare and services, we will also provide a client and family centred environment where our focus will be to ensure the entire client journey is exceptional. In order to achieve this goal we will need the help of the community.

At the Pattison Outpatient Centre volunteers will compliment, enrich and enhance healthcare services by providing social, psychological and practical support for clients and their families. As a volunteer at the centre your role would be to help us achieve our vision by ensuring clients feel welcomed and supported throughout their visit.

Over the next year there will be many new volunteer support roles developed, with new positions becoming available every month.

Requirements

  • Application, screening, interview, references, orientation and training.
  • Criminal Record Review may be required.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Minimum Commitment: 6 months to a regular schedule (shifts range from 2-6 hours once or twice a week)
