Burnaby Hospital is fortunate to have a strong volunteer program and a very high caliber of volunteers working with us. We work in collaboration with other organizations such as Burnaby Hospice and Hearts on the Mend. We are interested in the possibility of adding you to our volunteer complement. Please review the volunteer requirements and application process below.

We encourage teens to gain experience volunteering at a long term care centre such as Fellburn Care Centre before applying to Burnaby Hospital.

Please note some areas may not have vacancies in the program. We will make every effort to match you with the volunteer opportunity that meets your interests and abilities.

Requirements
  • Screening, interview, orientation, reference check
  • A criminal record search will be required.
  • Minimum Age: 16 years
  • Minimum Commitment: 75 hours or 8 months
