Royal Crescent Gardens is a three-storey building located in the heart of Maple Ridge. The residence has been completely renovated and remodeled and provides a home-like atmosphere with plenty of warm and cozy lounge space. Owned and operated by RCG Management Ltd.

Philosophy of care

Royal Crescent Gardens Assisted Living provides accommodation, hospitality and care service in a manner that promotes choice, respects privacy, preserves dignity and supports the individual’s right to live at risk. We recognize each person as a unique individual with the right to manage their own life and make personal decisions. We offer a home-like environment that supports the individual’s preferred lifestyle.

Building amenities

We serve lunch and dinner daily.  Fruit, muffins, juice, coffee and tea are available every day for morning coffee. Weekly light housekeeping and flat linens (sheets and towels) laundry is provided. Coin operated laundry machines are located on the first floor for personal laundry.  There are recreation/activities planned on a daily basis.

Language, culture, religious affiliations

English is the language of the home, however our staff is able to speak and translate Filipino and Romanian as necessary.

We encourage our residents to continue attending their regular church services.  We also provide monthly on-site Sunday services with the Anglican Church as well as a weekly Catholic prayer group.

Scheduled special events include Christmas, New Years, Robbie Burns, Valentine’s, St Patrick’s , Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Canada Day, Remembrance Day etc.  Our tenants  have the choice to attend any special event.

Type of accommodation

46 publicly subsidized units (40 bachelor suites and 6 one bedroom suites). All units include a kitchenette with counter and cabinet space, a sink, bar-size fridge and microwave shelf.


An armoire is provided. Residents must provide bedroom and living room furnishings as well as decorations to make their suite as homelike as possible.

Food service

We offer a four-week seasonal menu plan (Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter).  The menu is reviewed by a Registered Dietitian.  Diabetic, low sodium and some modified textures can be accommodated. Families and friends are welcome at mealtimes (with notice) for a nominal charge.

Residents pay 70% of their after-tax income (up to a maximum rate) which covers rent, hospitality services and personal care. Learn more about costs on our Assisted Living page.

Chargeable extras

Podiatry/foot care, hairdressing service, and physio/occupational therapy services are available on a contract basis by appointment.

Parking $25.00/month.

The facility will manage resident personal laundry at $10.00 per load.  

Air conditioning

Portable air conditioners are permitted but the tenant is responsible to supply their own. The TV lounge and dining room are air conditioned.

Special recreation opportunities

Recreation coordinator offers daily social and recreational opportunities.

Weekly bus outings; Osteofit exercise program; musical entertainment; Special seasonal events


Residents must be able to move around in their own apartment with or without the use of mobility aids.  Stairlift between 2nd and 3rd floor.  Electric wheelchairs designed for indoor use may be permitted with pre-approval of the Director of Operations.

Motorized scooter policy

Charging stations for scooters located on the ground floor.  Scooter are permitted for outside use only.

Pet policy

We cannot accommodate pets.

Smoking policy

This is a no-smoking residence. Smoking is permitted only in a designated covered smoking area at the rear of the building

Safety/security features

There are smoke alarms in each room and in the public areas as well as a sprinkler system. Fire system is monitored 24 hours per day.

The main doors to the building are kept locked at all times and visitors must be “buzzed in” by a staff member or tenant.

A 24-hour call bell system with pull stations in every washroom and bedside in each suite.  When activated, this system communicates with reception and pagers carried by on-site staff.


Parking is available for residents for a monthly fee. Limited visitor parking is available in the rear parking lot.  There is limited street parking.


Visiting hours are flexible.  Visitors are requested to sign in and out for security.

Guest suite

No guest suites available.  Overnight visiting is permitted only with prior permission of the General Manager and is limited to special circumstances.

Neighbourhood/community amenities

Transit services to shopping and community amenities.  Royal Crescent Gardens is conveniently located near many commercial and recreational amenities and professional services.  Haney Place mall is two blocks away. Volunteer drivers from the Senior’s Centre charge $3.00 one way locally. Save on Foods delivers groceries for $2.00

Exit criteria

Royal Crescent Gardens cannot accommodate tenants who are unable to make decisions on their own behalf or require 24-hour professional nursing care.


NB. Accreditation is not a requirement of Assisted Living but some residences have received accreditation status
