It is located in a quiet neighbourhood bordering beautiful Fishtrap Creek Park, and is linked to Abbotsford’s beautiful Discovery Trail. Owned and operated by Hallmark of Abbotsford Corporation.

How do I access assisted living?

Access to subsidized assisted living units is through a Home Health assessment. For more information on subsidized units, contact the local Home Health office nearest you. Please do not contact the Operator directly regarding subsidized units.

Building amenities

We serve breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks daily. Weekly housekeeping and flat linen laundry service. Personal laundry service available for additional cost. Complimentary laundry rooms are located on each floor for personal laundry.

Language, culture, religious affiliations

Community clergy offer church services Sunday afternoons. Resident–led weekly devotional.  Our staff speaks several languages other than English: Dutch, Filipino, French, German, Japanese and Spanish to name a few. 

Type of accommodation

22 publicly subsidized units.  Each unit contains a refrigerator and microwave.

Cost

Residents pay 70% of their after-tax income which covers: 1) monthly rental accommodation; 2) hospitality services: two meals and two snacks daily, weekly housekeeping, flat laundry, etc.; 3) personal care; and 4) on-site emergency response system.

Residents on income assistance pay a flat rate.

Items not included as part of the monthly fee include: telephone, cable, hydro, personal laundry, household and toiletry supplies, medications, personal care products and insurance.

Special recreation opportunities

Full activity calendar includes social, educational, physical and spiritual opportunities for residents to get involved.  See website for current calendar.

Accessibility

Residents must be able to move around in their own apartment with or without the use of mobility aids.  Scooters allowed with restrictions for the safety of others.

We permit small pets.

Smoking policy

There is no smoking in the building; a designated outdoor smoking area is available.

Safety/security features

Security features include a 24-hour in-house call system with round-the-clock Wellness staff available.  Concierge at front desk; 24-hour staff; outside night security rounds; first floor window security. Monitored fire safety security; smoke detectors and sprinkler system.

Neighbourhood/community amenities

Regularly scheduled bus shuttle service to amenities. Close to 23-acre award-winning city park and Clearbrook Recreation Centre.  Basic cable and all utilities included except telephone.  On-site library, computer room, hobby kitchen, fireside room, games room, beauty salon.

Residence-specific restrictions

Offers hospitality and personal assistance to seniors and adults with disabilities.
