Our beautiful six-storey brick building opened in 2005. The building has a main resident dining room, resident lounges on each floor, a hair salon and a Wellness Center.  Owned and operated by Mennonite Benevolent Society.

How do I access assisted living?

Access to subsidized assisted living units is through a Home Health assessment. For more information on subsidized units, contact the local Home Health office nearest you. Please do not contact the Operator directly regarding subsidized units.

Building amenities

We serve two meals per day, seven days a week. Light continental breakfast and beverage breaks are available in the Bistro.  Weekly light housekeeping with basic weekly flat goods laundry. (Personal laundry is an extra charge.)

Language, culture, religious affiliations

English and German are predominant.  Bible studies and worship services available.

Type of accommodation

41 publicly subsidized units.  Each unit has a kitchenette with a convection/microwave oven, two-burner cooktop and a refrigerator.  Step-in shower, storage room and patio.

Cost

Residents pay 70% of their after-tax income which covers: 1) monthly rental accommodation; 2) hospitality services: two meals and two snacks daily, weekly housekeeping, flat laundry, etc.; 3) personal care; and 4) on-site emergency response system.

Residents on income assistance pay a flat rate.

Items not included as part of the monthly fee include: telephone, cable, hydro, personal laundry, household and toiletry supplies, medications, personal care products and insurance.

Special recreation opportunities

Various outings and shopping trips, sing-alongs, choir and music, various games in lounges, crafts, movie nights, tea socials, exercise classes, bowling and birthday socials.

Accessibility

Residents must be able to move around in their own apartment with or without the use of mobility aids.  Electric wheelchairs designed for indoor use may be permitted with pre-approval of the Executive Director. Underground scooter garage available; scooters are not permitted in hallways or suites.

24/7 IGEACOM System, monitored by care staff.  Keyed entry with automatic closing doors, EnterPhones and security guard.

Across the street from the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Close to shopping and grocery stores. Walking distance from Mill Lake Park and trails. On main bus routes and HandyDART accessible.

Residence-specific restrictions

Offers hospitality and personal assistance services to seniors and adults with disabilities.

Underground resident parking, visitors’ parking available on adjoining street.
