Highland Lodge is a single-storey 60-bed residential care facility. Each wing has 20 private and 5 semi-private rooms. Each wing shares a lounge, activity area and dining room. Owned and operated by Pinnacle Care Group.

How do I access residential care?

Access to subsidized residential care units is through a Home Health assessment. For more information on subsidized units, contact the Home Health office nearest you. Please do not contact the Operator directly regarding subsidized units.

Spa tub room is equipped with ceiling lift.

We have Sunday worship services.  We celebrate cultural holidays and accommodate ethnic diets as much as possible.

Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve the services health care organizations provide to their patients and clients, based on standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada.

Highland Lodge is known for its resident-centered approach to care, its home-like environment, outstanding staff and being on the leading edge of change and continuous quality improvement.

Our residents are the focus of our endeavours. Highland Lodge staff conducts themselves in a professional manner, according to recognized long term care standards. We strive to maintain effective communications and practice good stewardship of our resources.

Type of accommodation

Total beds: 60; 60 publicly subsidized residential care beds. 

Basics include bed, bedside locker, chest of drawers, chair and built-in closet.

You may also bring your own favourite chair, TV, radio.

Cost

Residents pay 80% of their after-tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation.

Special recreation opportunities

Full recreation and activity programming; own bus for outings.

Accessibility

We cannot accommodate motorized scooters.

Pet policy

We cannot accommodate resident pets, but visiting pets are welcome.  We welcome pets in all areas of the facility except in the dining room and/or kitchen area.  We kindly ask that dogs be kept on a leash at all times.

Smoking policy

Smoking is permitted in the designated outdoor patio area only. 

Safety/security features

Magnetic locks on all external doors, keypad release locks (automatically release if fire alarm goes off); surveillance cameras in each wing, front and back gardens and parking area; halogen exterior lighting on front and back gardens and parking area; sprinklered building.

Neighbourhood/community amenities

Plenty of shops and services located nearby on Fraser Highway.  Public transit nearby.

Facility-specific restrictions

Provides housing and care to seniors requiring 24 hour professional nursing care and support.

Any other amenities

Podiatrist visits every six weeks; music therapist visits weekly.  Visiting hairdresser.
