Practice your nursing specialty in our hospitals
We offer specialty nursing education sponsorship to new applicants, including new graduate registered nurses, or currently employed registered nurses. Once you successfully complete your nursing speciality education, you will be offered a regular full-time or part-time position (such as perinatal and neonatal nurse, operating room nurses, emergency room nurses, and critical care nurses) in an existing vacancy in one of the following specialty areas:
- Emergency
- Critical care
- High acuity
- Neonatal
- Nephrology
- Pediatrics
- Perinatal
- Perioperative

Specialty nursing education sponsorship eligibility
You are eligible for sponsorship if you meet the following criteria:
- Current CPR certification
- Recent acute care experience
- Eight to 17 weeks education commitment (depending on program)
- A reference from your current manager
- No previous sponsorship
- Commitment to Fraser Health employment for a minimum of one year
