Mass Immunization for Seasonal Influenza and H1N1 FluSeasonal Influenza Immunization

  • Seasonal Influenza vaccine will be provided from October 15, 2009 - November 15, 2009 to individuals 65 years of age or older.
  • Public Health will be providing community clinics; Residential Care staff will provide immunizations to their residents, and the vaccine will also be provided by community physicians.
  • Workplace Health and Public Health will be offering seasonal vaccine at regularly scheduled clinics at acute sites and in the community in January and February, 2010 for staff and other eligible recipients.

H1N1 Flu Immunization

  • H1N1 Flu Vaccine will be provided in a single dose series to any individual that wishes to be immunized, from November 15, 2009 - December 30, 2009.
    • A second dose may be offered to children under 9 years of age who require 2 doses, after December 30th.
  • Workplace Health will offer H1N1 vaccine to staff at acute sites from November 16-December 24th.
  • Workplace Health will support Peer Immunizers in Public Health, Home Health, Mental Health & Addictions and Residential Care (owned and operated sites) to provide H1N1 from
    November 16th – December 24th.
  • Public Health, Home Health, Mental Health/Addictions and Residential Care will provide H1N1 immunizations to their staff and residents/patients/clients.
  • Public Health will provide community-based clinics in each municipality within Fraser Health. Schedules will be posted on the internet.
  • Community Physicians will also immunize clients in their office setting.
