Immunization

Vaccines can prevent outbreaks of certain diseases

Bookmark and Share

There are many vaccines available which can prevent outbreaks of certain diseases.  A schedule is available so you know what vaccinations are appropriate for your children and at what ages.  Most infant’s first immunization happens at two months.

Once your child is three years old, you can visit your local public health unit and get a review of immunizations to make sure everything is up to date.

Additional immunization programs

  • Annual vaccination helps everyone avoid severe cases of the flu.
  • Travellers can avoid getting sick on vacation in exotic destinations.
  • Taking advantage of vaccination programs makes it easier to stay healthy.
