Immunizations

Vaccines protect everyone!

Bookmark and Share

Vaccines protect everyone! They are one of the best ways to protect our families and communities from the spread of diseases that can make people very sick and even kill them.

Visit Immunize BC to see how vaccines work.

Vaccines are safe.

Routine immunizations are free and easy to get; just call your local Public Health Unit or family physician to make an appointment, or use the Public Health Finder to find an immunizing pharmacist* near you.

*Pharmacists can provide certain immunizations to people older than 5.

Routine immunizations begin when a baby is 2 months of age.  But vaccines are also important for school aged children and adults.  Protect your loved ones and your community by making sure your family is up-to-date with all the recommended vaccines for their age.
