Prenatal Classes

Prenatal classes provide information for expectant parents on the following topics:

• physical and emotional changes of pregnancy;
• lifestyle factors that influence a healthy mother and baby;
• preparation and coping skills for labour and birth for mother and partner;
• breastfeeding and your newborn. 

Classes are available in various formats: evening series, weekend or prenatal in a day.  Contact your local public health unit.

Breastfeeding prenatal classes

Focused specifically on breastfeeding, the breastfeeding prenatal class is a two-hour class that is offered free to expectant mothers and their support people.
