Outpatient

There are many different departments in the hospital where specialized medical or surgical procedures are done. These procedures do not require patients to go to the operating room, but patients may require x-rays, blood tests or heart tracings in addition to their procedure. 

On the day of the procedure, you may be taken to a specific department.  Staff will provide instructions and inform you of anything you may need to know.  Once the procedure is complete, you will be able to go home.
