Type of accommodation

Total beds:  92; 73 publicly subsidized residential care beds.    Spacious rental accommodations with private ensuite bathrooms featuring a wheelchair accessible shower.

Basics include fully furnished rooms with bed, dresser, lamp, towels and linen.

You may also bring a radio, TV, personal chair, pictures and plants. Residents are encouraged to bring their favourite belongings, furniture and decorations to personalize their rooms.

Items to bring include personal clothing, money for comforts fund.

Cost

Residents pay 80% of their after-tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation.

Special recreation opportunities

Recreation and activity programming seven days a week.  Wheelchair accessible mini-bus for scheduled recreational outings.  Unlimited access to scheduled life enrichment programs in recreation, leisure, social arts, entertainment and fitness.

Accessibility

We can accommodate electric wheelchairs.  Our building is elevator-equipped to allow access to the other floors.

Pet policy

Langley Gardens recognizes the therapeutic benefits of interactions between pets and the residents. Visiting pets are welcome and encouraged to enhance the residents’ quality of life. Various pet therapy volunteers also provide individual or group visits.

Smoking policy

Smoking is permitted outside on the deck off the care floor.

24-hour security and video surveillance; in-suite nurse call system.

Pharmacy, optical services, florist, café and other retail stores nearby.
