The countdown to opening for the new Surrey Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre is less than one year away. This 17,000 m2, four-storey building under development at 140th and Fraser is quickly becoming a landmark in Surrey and will open to the public in June 2011.

The $239.1 million facility is unique in offering day surgery, diagnostic procedures such as lab, X-ray, biopsies and specialized health programs all within one building. Most patients will be referred to the facility by their family physician, a medical specialist or Surrey Memorial Hospital. Benefits of centralizing outpatient services include a more streamlined experience, faster diagnosis, improved access and reduced wait times, and better health management and recovery.  Read the full news release.
