Having an active lifestyle provides numerous benefits which ultimately result in a better quality of life as well a reduced risk of chronic disease such as high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. There are many benefits of physical activity including better health and self-esteem, weight control, more energy, less stress and living independently as you age.

Choose to take care of yourself by making activity a part of your daily routine.  If physical activity is something new to you, speak to your family doctor first.
