Current status
Essential service levels are in effect at Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre in Surrey starting at 5:30 a.m. on July 9.
Please do not hesitate to cross picket lines to access care.

Impacted sites
July 9
Both sites are operating at essential services levels, including pickets at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
During essential services, outpatient laboratory services at Surrey Memorial Hospital and the Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre will be operating at reduced capacity.
BC Cancer patients should continue to attend their appointments as scheduled. Patients with affected appointments will be contacted directly to arrange rebooking or discuss alternate options.Patients requiring walk-in medical imaging are encouraged to consider alternate locations at this time.

Accessing care
- Emergency departments remain open, and anyone experiencing a medical emergency should call 9-1-1 or go to their nearest emergency department.
- People with scheduled appointments or procedures should attend as planned unless they are contacted directly by their care team.
